The technique

StarFill offers a filler based on cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA). Starfill fillers are obtained using “Zero Endotoxin and BDDE All Treatment” (SOAP) technology, which ensures minimal levels of endotoxin and residual BDDE. BDDE (butanediol liglycidyl ether) is used in most HA fillers as a crosslinked HA material. However, BDDE is a toxic substance that can cause side effects when a large amount of BDDE is injected into the human body. Therefore, most filler producers try to remove as much BDDE as possible during the last step of crosslinking. Starfill has a special technology for modification of BDDE to almost 0%.

The efficacy

The efficacy of using the product was confirmed by the Wrinkle Severity Scale (WSRS) survey results from the wrinkle improvement assessment at 8, 16, and 24 weeks after the injection procedure. The high degree of HA crosslinking allows for a longer duration of action compared to other HA-based filler analogues on the market, while the excellent viscoelasticity and cohesion ensure uniform extrusion strength, meaning smooth and even distribution of the filler during injection. The presence of lidocaine in the composition makes the procedure practically painless.
